War and american foreign policy today and the lawless way it is conducted have greatly contributed to the nightmare world of violence and terrorism we're in today.
The United States does not have a broad constitutional Law preventing government officials from dealing with governments or individuals outside the U.S. that are doing what would be illegal activities here in the U.S.
If you are a thorough student of American history you would see that the United States has funded and supported governments that use their police forces to kill free speech and democracy.
Before terrorism grew to what it is today, intellectuals speaking and fighting for a Say In Their Own governments were often jailed and killed simply fighting for "democracy"(say in government).
The intelligent and college educated people who would try to speak were jailed and killed. As the United States has been lawless in it's foreign policy. Supporting despots, dictators, absolute monarchs whenever it seems convenient to american politicians. Supporting financially or with military aid the enemies of democracy the intelligent individuals of some of these countries unfortunately when they saw they could not win political rights peacefully they turned for help from radical elements of their country.
Examples: Vietnam, what was French Indochina when the trouble started there. In the early days when Vietnam was still a colony of the Democracy of France. The Viet Minh wanted to govern themselves and adopt an American Style constitution. Instead of embracing their democratic leanings and possibly co-opting them by transitioning them into democracy they failed them and wanted to dominate over them as an undemocratic colony although France itself is a democracy. When the Viet Minh saw they could not achieve democratic improvements they turned to the radicals, the militant communists. Harry S. Truman was the president of the United States in the early days of the conflict and he made the same mistake as the leaders of France by supporting France in trying to maintain Vietnam as a colony not a democracy.
Another example: Iran before it was a country run by religious clerics. Was run by the Shah of Iran. Another non democratic government that used secret police to kill journalists or anyone else that showed disagreement with the government. The United States gave money to the Shah of Iran and/or military aid.
These countries/kingdoms cannot maintain control over their people without arresting and killing journalists or anyone else college educated or not who simply want a say in their government.
The U.S. continues to support the kingdom of Saudi Arabia where Usama Bin Laden was from.
The U.S. supported Manuel Noriega dictator of Panama, enemy of democracy. When it was convenient and many others.
I Dan Farland, citizen of the United States of America am proposing the "Farland Act". An amendment to the constitution that makes it illegal for anyone, government or private to do business, give financial assistance, lend any kind of support or military aid to governments or individuals outside of the United States who are engaging in what would be felony level activity as if it were happening within the borders of the United States of America.
